The use of the powder activated coal helps to decrease and almost eliminate the number of contaminants found in the water. If the water is truly to be free of any possible pollutants the use of the granular activated carbon is the best solution. Osmosis lacks certain attributes in the capturing and cleansing of the free radicals. Everyone likes to know that the water being used for their cleaning, eating, cooking, etc., is clear of nasty materials. A contaminated water supply could create a pandemic if proper precautions were not used.
